We are two sisters who first founded Maia to help our mom, a public school teacher for over 30 years. When COVID-19 first hit, the world stopped, but our mom continued to teach remotely every single day as passionate as ever. Even as she screamed and danced in front of her camera, traditional web conferencing solutions drained the energy out of her classes, leaving her students unengaged and unable to learn. Her daily struggle motivated us to build a better solution, so that the 1.5 billion students who have been impacted by COVID-19 may continue to learn through these unprecedented times. We invite you to join us in building a better future so that students no longer have to sacrifice the quality of their education just because they are learning online.
